Tennis instruction in the US runs from a certified teaching pro giving private lessons on a park court to full academies with fitness staff, boarding and tournament travel. Private lessons are priced per hour, semi-private and group clinics cost less per player, and most clubs run junior programs after school and adult drills in the evening. The USTA organizes the national rating (NTRP) and the adult and junior leagues most players join; the USPTA and PTR certify coaches. Summer camps take kids by the week or the day and usually include lunch and match play. Stadiums and event venues host college matches, USTA sanctioned tournaments and the occasional exhibition, with free or low-cost admission for most of them.

Wilkes-Barre is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilkes-Barre follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Did you know that it is in their policy that underage children (7 year old) are allowed to have a membership by themselves, enter the building by themselves, and go to the locker room by themselfs without adult supervision. However the biological parents who are not members that want to exercise & utilize their parental rights by supervising or protecting their children from harm only (not participate) Are charged $10 dollar fee to enter since they're not members. This policy conflicts with my personal, ethical, and safety standards regarding children as a biological parent with parental rights. This is because you need to be a member Otherwise you have to pay $10 even if you're a biological parent utilizing your parental rights. Given the nature of these specific policies it is reasonable to expect that other areas of there operations that may also have similar moral and ethical concerns. Because of my significant concerns of child safety and well being as a biological parent i will not be pursuing a membership or utilizing there services. They are essentially monetizing on your god given right to practice your core christen principles & values by marketing it as a policy. You kno

Beautiful set up. Would not be surprised if this was a flag ship location. Staff is professional and courteous. Must have done something right in my past life to get membership in a place like this

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the before and aftercare services at the YMCA. My experience with Ms. Kelly was totally unacceptable - she was aggressive and yelling at my niece and nephew in a public setting, which is completely uncalled for. When I tried to address the situation with my sister present (their mom) Ms. Kelly started being defensive and not taking accountability for her and her staff's actions. I asked for her supervisor's information and she began to scream at me and yell their emails while I proceeded to walk away from her with my niece. To make matters worse a few days before my niece went missing from her school, Ms. Ashley refused to help myself and the school locate her. Stating the drivers won't answer the phone, this is crazy. There needs to be blue tooth installed for these types of emergencies when the arise with children. The lack of urgency and concern for these children and a child's safety is alarming. Parents and families trust childcare facilities to keep their children safe and treat the with respect. This experience left me shaken and questioning whether or not this is a safe and supportive environment for kids.

I love the Y. Had to cancel my membership due to shoulder surgery. I would love to rejoin but the locker rooms are taking forever to get renovated. The only negative thing I would say is that all the college kids sit on their phones on the equipment and it hard to get done what I need to do.
